SP Chief and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav to attend oath-taking ceremony

Srinagar, Oct 15 (KINS): Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would be attending the oath-taking ceremony of Omar Abdullah, who will soon assume office as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at the SKICC in Srinagar, where preparations are in full swing.
Akhilesh Yadav, one of the prominent leaders invited to the event, arrived in Srinagar on Tuesday. He was welcomed at the airport by National Conference leader Mushtaq Guroo.
During his visit, Yadav called for the immediate restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood.
Speaking to reporters according to news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), he said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have demonstrated their commitment to democracy and upheld the Constitution by electing their government. The next crucial step is restoring full statehood. I am confident that, with the support of the people, they will achieve this goal in the near future.”(KINS)
