PWD assures macadamization of Bhat Mohalla road after protests

Srinagar, Oct 17 (KINS): Following protests by local residents of Bhat Mohalla in Sangri Colony, Baramulla, over the poor condition of their roads, the Public Works Department (PWD) has responded with assurances of action. Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Baramulla, Er. Rais Aslam Makhdoomi, stated that efforts are underway to address the demand for full macadamization of the area.
In response to the residents’ grievances, Er. Makhdoomi assured that the road will be macadamized to the extent allowed by the current allotment of funds. “We will macadamize the road as far as the current allotment allows,” he said, while also committing to make every effort to secure the resources necessary for full macadamization of the entire road.
The local residents had staged protests, highlighting the deteriorating road conditions and the inconvenience it has caused, especially with the onset of winter.(KINS)
