Haj Committee of India extends deadline for 2025 pilgrimage advance payment

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Oct 30 (KINS): The Haj Committee of India has extended the deadline for depositing the Advance Haj Amount for the 2025 pilgrimage, now set to 11 November 2024.
The decision follows numerous requests from State Haj Committees and various organizations seeking more time for prospective pilgrims to secure their places.
News agency KINS reported that the original deadline, as per Circular No.10 dated 21 October 2024, was 31 October 2024. The new deadline allows provisionally selected pilgrims to deposit the required amount of ₹1, 30,300 and is aimed at accommodating those who may have faced difficulties in meeting the initial timeline.
Nazeem Ahmed A, CEO of the Haj Committee of India, stated, “We recognize the importance of the pilgrimage for many individuals and families. This extension is intended to ensure that everyone has a fair opportunity to fulfill their religious obligations without unnecessary stress.”
Following the deposit of the Advance Haj Amount, pilgrims are required to submit several documents, including a self-attested copy of their International Machine-readable passport and a Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate, to their respective State or UT Haj Committees by 14 November 2024.
The Haj Committee emphasized the necessity of adhering to this new timeline. In their circular, they noted, “It is imperative that all provisionally selected pilgrims comply with the stipulated deadlines. Failure to submit the required documents on time will result in the cancellation of their Haj seat, and no further extensions will be granted.”(KINS)
