J&K Finance Department urges early submission of Court cases to avoid financial liabilities

KINS Desk

Srinagar, Oct 14 (KINS): The Finance Department of Jammu and Kashmir has instructed all Administrative Departments to submit court cases involving financial implications at an early stage.

A circular issued by the department as per news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) highlighted that numerous cases are being referred belatedly, leaving the Finance Department with limited options—often having to grant concurrence or release funds without fully exploring legal remedies.

To prevent such situations, departments have been directed to provide all litigation-related documents promptly, including copies of writ petitions, annexures, replies, and court judgments, enabling proper examination and timely disposal.

The Finance Department emphasized that early submission will ensure better legal scrutiny and avoid unnecessary financial liabilities for the government.(KINS)
