Doda, Nov 4 : In a tragic incident late Sunday night, two brothers lost their lives when their SUV skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir. Police identified the deceased as Mukesh Kumar, 29, and his younger brother Pawan Kumar, 24.
The accident took place at Khellani nallah as the brothers were traveling from their residence in Brartha-Khellani towards Pull Doda. According to officials, the vehicle rolled down a steep hilly road into the drain, leaving both men dead at the scene. Local rescuers responded swiftly, but despite their efforts, the brothers were found lifeless on arrival.
The bodies have been taken to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital Doda and will be handed over to their family after the completion of legal formalities. The SUV was reportedly heavily damaged in the accident.
The community mourns the loss of the siblings as authorities urge drivers to exercise caution on hilly and treacherous roads.
