CM Omar Abdullah hosts first public interaction at Raabita, highlights citizen-centric governance in J&K
Srinagar, Dec 07 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah hosts his first public interaction at the newly established Chief Minister’s Public Services and Outreach Office, aptly named Raabita.
During the event, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his government’s commitment to creating a citizen-centric governance model. “Raabita has been set up as a dedicated platform to address public grievances and build a stronger, healthier relationship between the government and the people,” he said.
The interaction saw participation from 15 delegations representing diverse social, cultural, and professional groups. Delegates raised critical issues, including economic challenges, employment opportunities, sectoral development, and the preservation of Jammu and Kashmir’s unique cultural heritage.
One of the key themes discussed was the protection and promotion of the region’s cultural identity, with delegations emphasizing the need to safeguard local languages, arts, and traditions. Proposals for enhanced social welfare programs and initiatives to boost the local economy were also brought forward.
The Chief Minister, attentive to each delegation’s concerns, highlighted the importance of a cohesive approach to protect Jammu and Kashmir’s unique identity while addressing socio-economic challenges.
The establishment of Raabita signifies a progressive step toward inclusive governance, aiming to ensure that the voices of the citizens resonate directly with the government.(KINS)
