13 new Kendriya Vidyalayas approved for J&K, including 2 in Pampore constituency
NC MLA expresses gratitude to PM
Srinagar Dec 07 (KINS): The Government of India has approved the establishment of 13 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant step towards improving access to quality education in the region.
Among these, according to news agency KINS, two KVs have been sanctioned for the Pampore Assembly Constituency, in Ratnipora and Galandar.
MLA Pampore, retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative.
He stated that the decision would bring a transformative change in the educational landscape of the district. “The establishment of these Kendriya Vidyalayas will provide high-quality education to students and open new opportunities for their overall development,” he said.
The newly approved schools are part of a broader strategy to strengthen the education system in Jammu and Kashmir. Alongside Pampore, two KVs each have been allocated to Kathua, Reasi, and Pulwama, while one school each will be set up in Kishtwar, Poonch, Kupwara, Samba, and Udhampur.
Kendriya Vidyalayas are renowned for their standardized curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities, and focus on all-around development. The move is expected to benefit students from remote and underprivileged areas, providing them with better learning environments and resources.
Justice Masoodi acknowledged the persistent efforts of local representatives in advocating for these institutions and called for timely execution of the projects. He also urged the government to ensure recruitment of qualified teaching staff and provision of adequate infrastructure for the new KVs. (KINS)
