Baramulla Police attach property worth 69.82 Lakh in 2008 militancy-linked case

Baramulla, August 09 (KINS): Baramulla Police have secured an attachment order from the NIA Court, Sopore, in connection with a 2008 militancy-linked case registered at Police Station Chandoosa.
The case, registered as FIR No. 02/2008, was filed under Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act, Sections 120-B and 121 of the RPC, and Section 13 of the UAPA.
As part of the legal action, the court ordered the attachment of land measuring 12 Kanal, 01 Marla and 73 square feet belonging to accused Parvaiz Ahmad Famda, son of Yaar Mohammad Famda, a resident of Kawhar Bala, Chandoosa.
The property has been valued at ₹69,82,550, and the required valuation certificate has also been obtained.
In a related development, Baramulla Police also obtained an arrest warrant from the NIA Court, Sopore, against another accused, Abdul Rashid Bhat, son of Abdul Ahad Bhat, a resident of Rajpora, Chandoosa, in the same case.
Police said the action is part of ongoing efforts to pursue cases involving unlawful activities and ensure that legal proceedings are taken to their logical conclusion in accordance with the law.(KINS)
