Health Minister says inquiry launched into “delayed surgery” incident at private hospital

Srinagar, Jan 04 (KINS): Reacting strongly to a recent incident allegedly involving a delayed surgery at a private hospital, Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo Saturday said that there will be “no compromise” on patient care.
Talking to reporters after visiting CD Hospital Srinagar, the minister confirmed that an inquiry has been launched into the matter and assured strict disciplinary action against any medical professional found guilty of misconduct.
“Whether in private or government hospitals, doctors must uphold the highest standards of care,” she said according to news agency KINS.
She said that the health and well-being of patients should remain the foremost priority in the medical profession. (KINS)
