CS Reviews Implementation of PM Gati Shakti in J&K

Jammu, Jan 6 (KINS): Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a meeting with Administrative Secretaries and Deputy Commissioners to review the implementation of the PM Gati Shakti Master Plan in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary emphasized the need to map departmental projects comprehensively on the PM Gati Shakti portal. He urged departments to innovate and add new layers, drawing inspiration from other states.
Dulloo highlighted the importance of geo-referenced mapping for effective planning, particularly in identifying infrastructure gaps and social indicators.
The Commissioner Secretary of Industries and Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, reported that 38 departments in J&K have added over 600 data layers to the portal. He also noted that J&K ranks among the top three states/UTs nationally in the implementation of PM Gati Shakti.
In a first, Kupwara district has been selected for a pilot phase of district-level PM Gati Shakti planning, with plans to expand the model to other districts.
Future initiatives include the integration of intra-departmental NOCs and clearances through the portal and the geo-referencing of all 6,500 revenue maps in J&K.(KINS)
