Police arrested 2 drug peddlers in Baramulla; Contraband substance recovered

Srinagar , November 2 : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A Police party of Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO PS Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Delina Ghat, intercepted one vehicle i10 bearing registration number DL11CA-5236 driven by one person who were identified as Sajad Ahmad Magray son of Ghulam Mohd resident of Janbazpora and Imtiyaz Hussain Khandwah son of Gh Hassan resident of Bagh-e-Rehmat. During search 25 grams of contraband Brown sugar like substances was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where they remained in custody. The vehicle was also seized on spot.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
