Shab-e-Meraj observed with religious fervor at Hazratbal Shrine

KINS DESK
Srinagar, Jan 31 (KINS): Shab-e-Meraj, marking Prophet Mohammad’s ascension to the heavens, was observed with prayers and religious fervor across Kashmir on Friday.
Thousands of devotees gathered at Hazratbal Shrine on the banks of Dal Lake to offer prayers and catch a glimpse of the holy relic, believed to be a hair strand of the Prophet.
KINS reported that despite sub-zero temperatures, night-long prayers were held at the shrine between Thursday and Friday night.
Authorities had made elaborate arrangements at Hazratbal and other religious sites across the Valley to ensure smooth observance of the occasion.(KINS)
