Discussed Sopore and Kathua Incidents with Home Minister: CM Omar Abdullah
Srinagar, Feb 12 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today stated that he raised the Sopore and Kathua incidents during his meeting with the Union Home Minister in New Delhi, urging for a thorough and transparent investigation into both matters.
Speaking to the media during his visit to Ganderbal as per news agency KINS, Omar highlighted that these incidents were among the key topics discussed with the Home Minister.
The CM emphasized that justice must be served, asserting that any individuals found guilty should face appropriate legal action. He reiterated the importance of transparency and accountability in these cases, signaling his government’s commitment to upholding justice for the affected families.
In addition to addressing the incidents in Sopore and Kathua, Omar Abdullah also discussed other crucial issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir, including the restoration of statehood and the upcoming budget for the region. These matters, he said, are vital for the future political and economic development of the state.
Earlier in the day, Omar visited a fire-affected family in Beehama, Ganderbal, expressing his heartfelt solidarity with the victims. He assured them of all possible support from the administration in their time of need, offering a sense of reassurance to the distressed family.(KINS)
