Commissioner SMC Leads Revenue Committee Meeting

Srinagar, Feb 17 (KINS): Dr. Owais Ahmed, IAS, Commissioner of SMC, today chaired a key meeting with the Revenue Committee to explore strategies for improving the corporation’s financial performance.

The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner (Adm), FA/CAO, Joint Commissioner Planning, Chief Revenue Officer, Additional Law Officer, Estates Officer, and other senior officials of the Corporation.

During the discussions, the Commissioner addressed the significant challenges and opportunities related to the corporation’s revenue streams. Committee members actively participated, sharing insightful ideas and suggesting innovative approaches to enhance revenue generation efficiency.

The committee also reviewed the latest revenue reports, discussed best practices, and examined potential policy changes to strengthen revenue collection and management processes.

The Commissioner underscored the need for transparency and accountability in all financial operations, reinforcing SMC’s commitment to responsible and effective governance.(KINS)
