DGP holds public grievance redressal Program at PCR Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 19 (KINS): Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat (IPS), conducted a Public Grievance Redressal program at the Police Control Room (PCR) Kashmir today.

The initiative provided citizens with a platform to directly engage with senior police leadership, express their concerns, and seek resolutions.

The event was attended by senior officers, including IGP Kashmir V. K. Birdi, DIG Central Kashmir Range, SSP Srinagar, SSP Security, and SSP PCR Kashmir.

Approximately 200 public delegations, comprising individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds, actively participated in the program. All grievances were carefully noted for appropriate action.

The DGP attentively listened to the concerns raised by citizens, assuring them that their issues would be addressed promptly and fairly. He directed the concerned officers to take swift action and ensure timely follow-ups on matters requiring further investigation. Several applications were resolved on the spot through direct intervention by the DGP.

Encouraging open communication between the police and the public, the DGP emphasized the importance of such interactive sessions. He highlighted their role in addressing issues at the grassroots level, improving community safety, and fostering trust between law enforcement and the people.

The program further reinforced public confidence in the Jammu and Kashmir Police, demonstrating the department’s unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and the overall well-being of the community.(KINS)
