Dr Jitendra Singh reviews restoration work on flood-hit Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Udhampur
Jammu, Aug 29 (KINS): Union Minister and MoS in the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Jitendra Singh, on Friday visited the flood-affected stretches of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Thard and Bali Nalla in Udhampur district.
During the visit, the minister reviewed the ongoing restoration work being carried out to reopen the vital road link. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai, senior officers of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and officials from other central agencies.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the restoration is being done on a war-footing basis and teams are working round the clock to clear the road for traffic.
“The Srinagar National Highway is likely to be restored by late tonight,” the minister assured.(KINS)
