As countdown begins for J&K Rajya Sabha poll results, NC supporters gather outside Assembly Secretariat Srinagar for celebrations

KINS Desk

Srinagar, Oct 24 (KINS): As the vote counting begins in the Jammu and Kashmir Rajya Sabha elections, supporters of the National Conference (NC) have gathered outside the Assembly Secretariat in Srinagar for celebrations, hopeful of winning all four seats.

Sources said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and several senior NC MLAs are already inside the Assembly Secretariat to monitor the results closely.

Meanwhile, outside, jubilant party supporters waved flags and chanted slogans, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and festivity.

“Our party is confident. The vote of our MLAs and the support of our alliance partners make us hopeful of winning all four seats,” said an NC worker, who preferred not to be named. “We have a big plan for celebrations at the party headquarters in Srinagar once the results are declared,” he told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).

Another NC supporter stated, “The mood among party workers is electrifying. Everyone is eagerly waiting, and we are ready to celebrate our victory together.”

Inside the Secretariat, senior leaders, including the Chief Minister and almost all NC MLAs, have convened to follow the vote counting process. Political analysts note that while the NC is confident of a near-total win on three seats, the fourth seat could witness a more competitive contest, potentially between the NC and BJP. (KINS)
