UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 04: Transport Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today today visited Udhampur and conducted detailed review on functioning of Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) here.
During the inspection, he interacted with the enforcement staff and officers at Ban Toll Plaza and took first-hand assessment of the ongoing enforcement operations and transport regulation activities.
During the visit, the Transport Commissioner emphasized the need for coordinated enforcement across all entry and exit points. He directed that the Toll Plazas shall share real-time details of vehicles, videos and enforcement data with MVD to strengthen road safety and regulatory compliance mechanisms.
The Transport Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the enforcement teams and instructed them to maintain strict vigilance against violators to ensure safe and disciplined road transport operations.
Later, the Transport Commissioner launched ‘New Venue 2025’ at VK Automart Pvt. Ltd., Devika Hyundai, Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion, the Transport Commissioner lauded the automobile sector’s contribution to regional development and encouraged the promotion of cleaner and safer mobility solutions.
Later, he also visited the ARTO Office Udhampur and interacted with officers and staff, reviewing services provided by the department as well as other ongoing activities and initiatives of the department.
