Eight killed, 24 injured in twin car blasts near Red Fort

New Delhi, Nov 10 (KINS): At least eight people were killed and 24 others injured in twin car blasts that rocked the area near Red Fort in the national capital on Monday evening.

According to initial reports, two explosions occurred in quick succession, triggering panic among locals and tourists in the busy vicinity. The blasts damaged several vehicles and nearby shops, while thick plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the spot.

Rescue teams and fire tenders rushed to the area immediately after the explosions. The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals, reported news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS)

Senior officials from Delhi Police, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and forensic experts have reached the site and begun investigations to ascertain the nature of the blasts. The entire area has been cordoned off, and security has been heightened across the city. (KINS)
