Omar Abdullah meets FM Nirmala Sitharaman, seeks push for J&K development

New Delhi, Nov 20 (KINS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday called on Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and held a detailed discussion on key developmental priorities of the Union Territory.
During the meeting, sources told news agency Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS), Omar pressed for greater central support to accelerate ongoing projects and launch new initiatives aimed at strengthening core infrastructure in J&K.
Sources said the talks focused on expanding road connectivity, upgrading power and health infrastructure, and improving urban services to meet the growing needs of the region. The Chief Minister also discussed ways to boost investment, create more employment opportunities and encourage private sector participation in key sectors.
Omar is understood to have sought continued and predictable financial support from the Centre to ensure that welfare-driven programmes are implemented effectively. (KINS)
