CRPF tightens security on NH44 in Ramban ahead of 77th Republic Day

Srinagar, Jan 22 (KINS): Ahead of the 77th Republic Day celebrations, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has stepped up security arrangements along the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH44) in Ramban district.
The CRPF 84 Battalion has intensified patrolling and search operations on the vital highway stretch to ensure the smooth movement of traffic and maintain peace in the area. Special focus is being laid on preventing any anti-national or disruptive activities during the Republic Day period.
As part of the enhanced security measures, additional surveillance teams have been deployed along with Quick Action Teams (QATs) and Road Opening Parties (ROPs). Bomb Disposal Squads, canine units, and drone surveillance are also being used to monitor sensitive spots and strengthen vigilance.
CRPF officials said the intensified security is aimed at ensuring the safety of commuters and the local population, while also guaranteeing peaceful Republic Day celebrations. The force is working in close coordination with other security agencies to maintain a high level of alertness along NH44, which is a crucial lifeline for the region.(KINS)
