Republic Day 2026: Grand parade showcases India’s culture, strength and progress at Kartavya Path

Srinagar, Jan 26 (KINS): India celebrated its 77th Republic Day with a magnificent parade at Kartavya Path Delhi, highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage, growing economic strength, and formidable military capabilities.

The parade featured an impressive display of missiles, fighter aircraft, newly raised military units, and advanced weapons, including equipment used during Operation Sindoor, reflecting India’s preparedness and defence prowess.

European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen attended the celebrations as Chief Guests, marking the importance of India’s global partnerships.

The ceremonial parade began after President Droupadi Murmu arrived at Kartavya Path in a traditional horse-drawn buggy, accompanied by the distinguished guests.

She was received with full state honours.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers, senior military commanders, foreign diplomats, and top government officials were present to witness the Grand National event, which celebrated unity, strength, and the spirit of India’s democracy.(KINS)
