No significant weather activity expected till end of April, except brief spells of rain/thundershowers on April 24-25 and April 29-30: MeT

Srinagar, Apr 22 (KINS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast no major weather activity in Jammu and Kashmir till the end of April, except for brief spells of light rain and thundershowers on April 24-25 and again on April 29-30.
According to the forecast, weather on April 22 and 23 will remain generally dry across most places, although a brief spell of light rain may occur at a few places during the late afternoon.
From April 24 to 25, the weather is likely to remain partly to generally cloudy with one or two brief spells of light rain or thundershower at scattered to many places. Gusty winds are also expected at a few places during late afternoon and evening hours.
On April 26, the weather is expected to remain generally dry, though a few places may receive a brief spell of light rain during the afternoon.
The MeT department said weather conditions will again remain generally dry on April 27 and 28.
However, on April 29 and 30, the region may witness generally cloudy weather with brief spells of light rain or thundershower at a few places, mainly during the late afternoon hours.
For the first two days of May, the department has predicted generally cloudy weather with brief spells of light rain or thundershower at a few places during the late afternoon.
The MeT department has advised farmers to continue their farm operations till April 23 as weather is expected to remain largely favourable. It has also predicted a rise in daytime temperature by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius at many places across Jammu and Kashmir till April 23. (KINS)
