Anti-Corruption Bureau to Expand to 846 Posts

Srinagar, Mar 14: With an aim to bolster its integrity and efficiency, the ACB’s cadre strength burgeoned to 846 posts, marking a new era in the fight against corruption.
Under the directive, the ACB’s hierarchy was revamped to include a Director, Additional Director, and two Deputy Inspector General (DIG) ranked officers at the helm.
Joining the leadership cadre, there were critical roles like Director Prosecution, Superintendent of Police (SP), Joint Directors, Deputy Directors, and Chief Prosecuting Officers, each vital in ensuring the bureau’s effectiveness.
Further down the ranks, a diverse array of professionals filled pivotal roles ranging from Executive Engineers and Assistant Commissioners to Accountants and Data Entry Operators. This comprehensive restructuring aimed to enhance the bureau’s investigative capabilities while also streamlining administrative functions for greater efficiency.
