Police Bust Drug Peddlers in Baramulla: Seize Contraband Substances

Srinagar, May 04: In a relentless drive against drug trafficking, the police in Baramulla have apprehended two individuals and confiscated illegal substances from their possession.
A police team, led by the Station House Officer of Baramulla Police Station, intercepted the suspects at Binner Crossing Baramulla. Upon searching them, authorities discovered approximately 80 grams of Charas-like substance. The arrested individuals have been identified as Javid Ahmad Lone, son of Mohd Ramzan, and Tariq Ahmad Lone, son of Gh Nabi, both residents of Khadniyar Baramulla. They are currently detained at PS Baramulla for further investigation.
A case has been registered against them under the relevant sections of the law, and inquiries are underway.
The public is encouraged to report any instances of drug peddling or other criminal activities to the nearest police station or by dialing 112. Cooperation from citizens is essential in combating the scourge of drugs in society. Rest assured, the police are committed to taking strict action against criminals in accordance with the law.
