Apni Party extends support to Sarjan Barkati and JeI candidates

Srinagar, September 16 (KINS): The Apni Party has extended its support to Sarjan Barkati from Beerwah constituency and Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) candidates in various assembly segments across Kashmir.
“We will fully support Sarjan Barkati, who is contesting from the Beerwah constituency. We have not fielded our own candidate there. We are supporting Taj Mohiuddin from Uri. Similarly, we are also backing Jamaat-e-Islami candidates in several constituencies across Kashmir. We will support all those who are working for the larger interest of Jammu and Kashmir, unlike some traditional parties here. From Pulwama, we are supporting jailed leader Saifullah’s brother,” said J&K Apni Party chief Syed Altaf Bukhari, according to the Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS).
On Sunday, the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) and former Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) members formed a pre-poll alliance to jointly fight for “the larger interests” of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. (KINS)
