J&K Bank ATMs often lack receipts, customers complain of glitches
KINS Correspondent
Srinagar, June 11 (KINS): Customers of Jammu and Kashmir Bank are facing difficulties at ATMs as they often do not receive receipts after transactions, leaving them confused about their balances and transactions.
Several customers also reported that pressing the ‘Yes’ option to get a receipt sometimes causes the machine to get stuck, forcing them to cancel their transactions.
“Most of the time, the ATM does not give me a receipt even if I press ‘Yes’,”  Adil Ahmad, a customer in Srinagar told news agency KINS. “Sometimes the ATM freezes and I have to cancel the transaction. It’s really frustrating.”
Another customer, Aliya Jan, shared a similar experience. “When I press ‘Yes’ for the receipt, the ATM sometimes hangs, and I lose my time standing there. And if the ATM is without a receipt, I have no proof of my transaction,” she said.
Some customers also complained that ATMs frequently remain out of service until their cards are manually erased by the bank’s staff.
“It is like a daily routine now,” said Mohammad Yaseen, another user. “You have to go inside the branch to get your card erased, otherwise the ATM simply does not work. It’s very inconvenient.”
Customers have urged the bank authorities to fix these issues and ensure that ATMs provide receipts consistently and function smoothly without technical glitches. (KINS)
