CM Omar Abdullah announces further expansion of free SRTC and Govt bus services to benefit women

Srinagar, Oct 18 (KINS) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday announced that the coverage area of free SRTC and government-operated buses will be expanded to ensure greater accessibility for women.

Speaking at a press conference in Srinagar as per news agency KINS, the CM said, “We are committed to making public transport more accessible and safe for women. Expanding the reach of free SRTC and government buses is a step towards empowering the women folk of our society.”

He further added, “This initiative will not only provide convenient travel options but also promote inclusivity in our transport network, enabling women to commute comfortably across the Union Territory.”(KINS)
