Hotel booked in Anantnag for violating immigration and foreigners act; two thai Nationals found staying illegally

Anantnag, Dec 04 (KINS): During routine inspections of hotels in the Rafting Point area, Pahalgam Police said that it detected a major violation of immigration rules at Hotel Golden Heritage, Rafting Point, Yenner.

The hotel had accommodated two foreign nationals from Thailand without submitting the mandatory Form C—a legal requirement for reporting and registering foreign guests. Police said the hotel management deliberately hid their stay, violating provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025.

Consequently, FIR No. 79/2025 under Sections 8 and 23(b) of the Act has been registered at Police Station Pahalgam. An investigation is in progress.

Police urged all hotels and accommodation providers to strictly adhere to legal and security protocols to avoid action.(KINS)
