Government forces on Monday launched a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in several villages of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports said a joint team of army and Special Operational Group (SoG) of Police today early morning arrived in the district and laid a siege to several villages including Chowalagam, Chattabal, Bypass and adjoining area of the district.
The searches in the areas were going on, however, it was not immediately known whether the area was seized following the inputs regarding the militants or it was a routine check.
