COVID-19: No fresh positive case in JK: Govt

Srinagar March 17 (KINS): Amid coronavirus scare, authorities on Friday said that no fresh coronavirus case has been detected positive in Jammu and Kashmir so far.

Director National Health Mission, who is overall incharge of coronavirus control efforts in J&K Bupinder Kumar said no fresh case has been detected positive in Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir so far. “Till yesterday four cases were found in Jammu and Kashmir. But no fresh case has been found today. People should avoid unnecessary visit to hospitals and offices,” he told Kashmir In depth News Service (KINS) over phone from Jammu. 

He said those having travel history should visit their centres for the screening. “People should not get panicked,” he added.

The government Thursday informed that 356 persons have completed their 28-day surveillance period and so far, only four cases have been tested positive in Jammu and Kashmir (KINS)
