BANDIPORA, AUGUST 06: Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad today convened a meeting of concerned officers to finalize the preparations with regard to smooth conduct of Independence Day function.
The meeting discussed threadbare issues relating to security and barricading, traffic regulations, sanitation, installation of public Address System, coverage of the event, illumination besides, availability of drinking water, power supply, Medicare facility, prize distribution and refreshment to ensure hassle free and smooth celebration of Independence Day.
It was given out that the main function will be held at SK Stadium where Chief Guest will unfurl national flag and take salute on the march past being presented by the contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, NCC and school children.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed Officers to ensure all arrangements beforehand as per past practice and work in utmost coordination.
The meeting was also informed that the Independence Day celebration will be organized at Sumbal and Gurez sub divisions also.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue besides senior officers of civil administration, police and security forces.
