Srinagar, Jan 04: In a resounding achievement, Jammu & Kashmir emerged victorious in the National ODOP Awards 2023, clinching the prestigious accolade under the subcategory for States & Union Territories, which includes hilly and northeastern states along with island territories.
The event, organized by DPIIT and Invest India, marked the inaugural edition of the ODOP Awards, witnessing an overwhelming response with 580 applications pouring in from 535 districts, 26 States/UTs, and 19 Indian Missions Abroad.
The ODOP Awards recognized exceptional contributors across three categories – for Districts, States, and Union Territories. Jammu & Kashmir’s commendable efforts stood out, showcasing a remarkable commitment to the ODOP Initiative, a testament to the region’s dedication in promoting India’s rich cultural heritage and fostering entrepreneurial spirit.
This triumph positions Jammu & Kashmir at the forefront of states and union territories actively contributing to the ODOP Initiative, further solidifying its role in preserving and promoting the diverse traditions and economic potential embedded within the country’s vibrant tapestry.
