Mitigate sufferings of people: Rafi Mir to PDP workers

Anantnag, Nov 11: PDP Chief Spokesperson Rafi Ahmad Mir Sunday asked the party cadres to shoulder their responsibilities with added zeal and zest to mitigate sufferings of people.
Addressing a one day convention of party workers, Mir said reaching out to people is imperative so that a link can be established between the public and the government.
While addressing a daylong meeting of district party workers of south Kashmir, he said that in view of the latest developments on the socio-political scenario of the State, the responsibilities of the PDP workers have increased manifolds and they shall have to be ready to play their pivotal role in mitigating the sufferings of the people and implementation of the party programs. He emphasized the workers to give regular and credible feedback from ground.
Stressing on PDP’s efforts to achieve political and economic stability in the state, Mir said asked the government to realize the aspirations of the public in general and address their issues on account of sufferings over the past few months.
“These issues are manifold and range from providing medical assistance to the injured to reviewing cases of PSA detainees, the government must reach out to people in time,” Mir said.
“Our party patron and late chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has left us a legacy of public service and compassion and the party workers should work towards achieving that vision,” Mir said.
