Dy Mayor faces unruly mob of councillors, receives head injury

Srinagar Jan 21 : Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Sheikh Imran faced an unruly mob of Councillors during a session resulting in grave injuries to his head.

Eye witnesses told Kashmir In-depth that some Councillors entered into a verbal brawl during a session of Councillors session at the SMC. “Some councillors resorted to abusing the deputy Mayor after some hurled a chair towards the head of Deputy Mayor and within minutes blood started oozing out from his forehead,” a witness said. ” The deputy Mayor has received one stitches on his forehead after he was referred to police hospital.”
