Governor’s message on World Cancer Day

JAMMU, FEBRUARY 3: Governor Satya Pal Malik has noted that the observance of the World Cancer Day is an opportunity to enhance awareness for the prevention, timely detection and proper treatment of Cancer which can improve the chances of survival.

Governor observed that in our fight against Cancer people have the power to take various actions to reduce the impact of cancer on individuals, families and communities and to work collectively to reduce the global burden of cancer and educating and informing individuals and communities about the links between lifestyle and cancer risk is  a step towards effective cancer prevention.

He emphasised importance of healthy and balanced food, sports and recreation to de-stress mind and body and live a healthy life.
