‘Al Badr militant arrested along with arms and ammunition in South Kashmir’

Srinagar, March 28: Police on Thursday said that it has arrested a militant of Al Badr outfit from Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Reports reaching news agency said that a joint team of police and SOG arrested the militant namely Rameez Ahmad Dar from Bijbehara area.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir range S. P Pani confirmed the arrest of the militant.

IGP said that some arms and ammunition was also recovered from his possession.

Meanwhile, another police officer said that Rameez was earlier associated with Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit and later joined Al Bad and was active since last two years. (GNS)
