DC Srinagar reviews Covid Control/mitigation measures
Anganwadi workers to be imparted Covid appropriate Training


SRINAGAR MAY 17: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting with all Block/ Zonal Medical Officers to review the control measures put in place by the district administration in mitigating covid-19 pandemic in the district.
During the meeting, the DC was given brief regarding Covid-19 mitigatation measures undertaken at block level including Covid vaccination, sampling, testing and progress with regard to Community Triaging in the district.
The DC directed the officers to increase the sampling/ testing of target groups and give focused attention to areas having higher covid positivity rate for early detection, isolation, and medical treatment of COVID patient.
He also directed for promotion of COVID-appropriate behaviour in people through Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities focusing on precautionary measures, health-related assistance, and helpline numbers.
The DC further asked them to fight the challenge of Covid-19 pandemic with added zeal and dedication to contain its spread besides saving precious human lives.
The DC said that additional manpower will be kept at the disposal of the CMO Srinagar to mitigate Covid-19
The DC also asked the officers to impart necessary training to Anganwari workers to empower them to mitigate Covid-19 and directed for appointing resource persons for the said training.
Among others, incharge Covid War Control Room, Akshay Labroo, Incharge Covid, Masarat Hashim, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Srinagar and other concerned were also present in the meeting.
