Lok Sabha Polls: Schools to remain shut on April 17, 18 in Budgam

Srinagar: Ahead of Lok Sabha polls on Central Kashmir Parlimentary seat scheduled on 18th of this month, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Budgam has ordered closure of government and private schools in the district on April 17th and 18th in the backdrop of upcoming parliamentary polls.

An order issued by the CEO has also directed all the heads and class IV staff of the schools designated as polling stations to remain present in their respective schools on both the days.

Further more, all the rooms in the schools be kept unlocked so as to facilitate the smooth conduct of the polls, the order reads.
