Unidentified dead body found in Pampore

PAMPORE, May 10: Police Pampore on Friday morning retrieved a dead body from Jhelum near Galander area of Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The body was shifted to Sub District Hospital Pampore for identification/postmortem.

A police official told  that they received information about presence of body near river Jehlium Galandar after which a party from police station Pampore visited the spot and shifted the body to Sub District Hospital Pampore for medical formalities.

The identity of the body was yet to be ascertained, he said, adding that the dead is a male aged around 35 years.

Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.

Police has also appealed general public that if any body has any information regarding identity or residence of the deceased, he or she may be communicated it to police station Pampore.
