Early trends: Er Rasheed leading in Baramulla, NC in Kmr and BJP in Jmu

As the counting for the Lok Sabha elections begun, early trends from across the six Lok Sabha seats suggest that BJP and NC are leading at two constituencies each.

In Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah was leading with PDP at No 2 and the Peoples Conference at third position. Dr Abdullah had almost half of the 15000 votes which the officials had counted.

In Baramulla, it was Engineer Rasheed leading with NC playing second fiddle. Peoples Conference was at third place and the PDP at 4. Engineer had almost one-third of 36000 votes counted.

In Anantnag, NC’s Husanain Masoodi was leading and Congress was playing second fiddle. PDP was trailing at third position. It was the status when more than 10,000 votes had been counted.

In Ladakh, Independent candidate Sajjad Hussain was leading and Bjp was playing second fiddle. Congress was trailing at the fourth position. It was the status when 13549 votes had been counted.

In Jammu, BJP Candidate Jugal Kishore was leading and Congress was Congress Raman Bhalla was playing second fiddle. It was the status when 114858 votes had been counted.

In Udhampur, BJP’s Dr Jitendra Singh was leading and JKNPP was playing second fiddle. Congress was trailing at third position. It was the status when 99746 votes had been counted.
