Gunfight rattles kulgam village, Mobile internet snapped

Srinagar, May 29: Intense exchange of firing between militants and governments took place in Tazipora, Mohammadpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

Reports reaching said that a joint operation was launched by 9 RR, SOG and CRPF in Tazipora Mohammadpora.

A senior police officer told news  agency that as the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot and came closer to it, the hiding militants fired upon the forces triggering an fierce gunfight.

Meanwhile Mobile Internet was snapped in Kulgam as precautionary measures.

Earlier lights were installed near the encounter site and cordon was strengthened.
