Sopore militants laid to rest amid high pitched pro freedom slogans

Sopore, May 30 : Slain militants on Thursday evening were laid to rest amid high pitched pro freedom slogans at their native villages of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Two Lashker-e-Toiba militants – Naseer Ahmed @Tawseef son of Mohammad Yousuf Mir resident of Shalpora Brath Kalan Sopore and Asif Ahmed War son Ghulam Nabi War resident of Aftab Mohalla Warpora Sopore were killed in a gunfight at Dangerpora village of Apple town on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses said that thousands of people participated in funeral prayers of the two slain militants at their respective villages.

People from adjacent villages participated in the funeral prayers of both slains despite fasting.
In Brath village amid pro freedom, pro Pakistan and anti India slogans the slain militant Naseer Ahmad was laid to rest at local ‘martyrs’ graveyard.

Eyewitnesses said that after the funeral prayers women and men were seen beating their chests and shouting anti-India and pro-freedom slogans in Warpora Sopore.

Reports said that Asif was laid to rest amid massive pro-freedom and anti-India slogans at local Martyrs graveyard in the village.

Meanwhile Police on Thursday evening in a statement said that one AK-47, one AK-78,AK magazine (06) AK Amm (138) rds , Matrix sheet (03) , silling (o2), Belt (01) and Pouches (02) were recovered from the slain militants.
