Met predicts rainy weather till Tuesday, rules out flood threat

Meteorological department has predicted erratic weather in Kashmir till Tuesday while ruling out a flood-like situation.

The rain forecast comes at a time when the Valley has witnessed intermittent spells of rainfall and temperature is lower than the normal average at this time of the year.

The weather will remain erratic till Tuesday,” Director MeT Department Sonam Lotus. “There will be light intermittent rains during this period.”

He said that frequency of rains would be very less in comparison to precipitation recorded two days ago.

“There won’t be any flood like situation. There is nothing to worry about,” he said.
