Fire-service cop assaulted by unknown youths in Sopore

Sopore, July 20: A fire service department cop was Saturday morning assaulted by unknown youths in north Kashmir’s Sopore.

Reports reaching said that the cop identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Gadoo of Chankhan Sopore was beaten ruthlessly while he tried to intercept three youths who were using abusing language over phone.
Mushtaq Ahmad as per reports asked them to leave the spot but in turn the trio attacked and injured him critically.

The injured cop has been rushed to sub district hospital Sopore for treatment.

Meanwhile a police officer confirmed the incident and said that one among three assailants’ has been arrested while manhuant has been launched to trace the other two. (GNS)
