Special Lok Adalat held in Srinagar, 882 cases settled

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 31: A Special Lok Adalat was organized today under the Chairmanship of Abdul Rashid Malik Principal District & Sessions Judge Srinagar at District Court Complex Srinagar.

Three Benches were constituted in which Bench No.1 was presided over by Additional District Judge Bank Cases Balbir lal Jaswal and Advocate Shuja Khan (Retainer lawyer) as Member.

Bench No.2 was presided over by PT & E Magistrate Srinagar Umi kulsum and Advocate Shehnaz Raheem (Retainer lawyer) as Member Bench No. 3 was presided over by Additional Mobile Magistrate Traffic Srinagar Mr. Mir Wajahat and 3rd Additional Munsiff Srinagar Fozia Paul.

Adnan Sayeed Secretary District Legal Services Authority Srinagar coordinated the said Speciall Lok Adalat.

A total number of 943 cases of different nature were taken up for their amicable settlement out of which 882 Cases were settled amicably. Beside this Rs.6.77 Lacs as settlement amount in Bank recovery cases and Rs.138950 was recovered as fine in Traffic matters.
