Police public interaction meetings held at Awantipora, Anantnag

January 20: Continuing with its public outreach programme, police held interactive meetings with the community members at Police Station Awantipora and at Larnoo area in District Anantnag.

At Awantipora, SDPO Awantipora chaired the meeting in which community members of villages Charligund, Chersoo, Lethpora, Awantipora, Jawbera and other adjoining areas participated.  

At Anantnag, the meeting was chaired by SHO Larnoo and attended by the community members including transporters, traders, businessmen, students and retired Government employees of nearby villages.

During these meetings, participants raised various grievances. They were assured by the chairing officers that their genuine grievances pertaining to police will be redressed on priority.

These meetings were held to facilitate interaction with community members and redress their grievances so as to create cordial police-public relationship.

Community members hailed the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely. The participants thanked & assured full cooperation to curb the social evils in the area. They also hailed the special drives of Police against bung cultivation, drug peddlers and other social crimes.
