Bandipora: Former Legator and senior Congress leader Usman Masjid on Sunday observed that all regional and national political parties have failed to live up to the expectations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a gathering at Bandipora, Majid remarked that a new Political alternative is in the offing that will prove more reliable, viable and fulfill the expectations of people of the erstwhile state.

He rubbished the claims that BJP was behind the curtains of the new Political alternative saying that many leaders from the BJP itself are going to join the new Political initiative.

Majid said that the political leadership of Jammu and Kashmir who have lost the ground and have never been pragmatic in their approach or leveling fabricated and baseless allegations aimed at scuttling the process of formation of a new Political platform.

The former legislator revealed that many like-minded friends and colleagues in the Political mainstream have come forward with a motive to serve the social, economic and political needs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the agenda of the new Political party will solely depend on the development and people’s empowerment.
