Saurabh Bhagat, Dr. Farooq Lone take stock of public grievances at Srinagar

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 28: Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment Development, Saurabh Bhagat and Secretary, General Administration Department, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone today took stock of people’s grievances during a day-long public grievance camp held at Banquet Hall, Srinagar.

During the programme, a number of deputations and individuals from Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Kupwara, Bandipora,  Gurez among other areas of Kashmir region met the Administrative Secretaries and highlighted their issues.

During the camp, several service matter cases were also taken up. The deputations sought an early redressal from the Government.

A deputation of contractors called on the Administrative Secretaries, urging them to expedite the process of soft loans on simple rate of interest. Mr. Bhagat informed the delegations that people should educate themselves about several centrally-sponsored schemes, including ‘Stand Up India’.  He said several self-help groups could get the benefits. He informed that Mudra Loans for women have great benefits.

A delegation of aspirants, who had applied for Prison Jail Wardens in 2005 demanded issuance of final selection list.

A delegation from Beerwah, Budgam along with the Panchs and Sarpanchs apprised the Administrative Secretaries about their issues.

Speaking to the delegations, Commissioner Secretary, Labour and Employment Development, Saurabh Bhagat assured that addressing people’s problems was top priority of the Government. He urged people to come forward and avail the benefits of the several government-run schemes.

Meanwhile, Secretary, GAD, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone said that Government has been running public outreach programmes for the people—which has helped Government to understand public importance issues on the ground.

Administrative Secretaries assured the deputations and individuals that all their issues would be looked into for redressal.

The day-long grievance camp was attended by scores of civil-administration officers.
