All reports negative for coronavirus in Kashmir so far: Govt

, Mar 12 (KINS): All the samples of suspected coronavirus infection in Kashmir have tested negative so far, the government said on Thursday.


 “Till date, no one has been detected positive for Coronavirus in Kashmir. But several people with travel history to coronavirus hit countries are under surveillance,” Shafqat Khan, Nodal Officer Corona Virus Control, J&K told Kashmir Indepth News Service (KINS) over the phone.


The official maintained that all suspected people in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation and are being monitored. “They have been asked to remain in isolation and take necessary precautions.” he maintained.
He said that preemptive measures are in place to deal with the threat posed by a coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir.


The official said that Government is not taking any chance on the issue of Coronavirus and all those arriving from China, Iran Nepal, and other countries are being regularly monitored.
“Though some people earlier had some flu-like symptoms, but were detected negative for coronavirus,” said the official. (KINS)
